Reinventing the Rules

For its ninth annual conference and second year in downtown Toronto, UWAC partnered with Canadian banking giant, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). The conference theme “Reinventing the Rules” provided a fresh perspective to delegates, shedding light on the ever-changing regulatory landscape of the accounting and finance industry. The case which focused on Basel III, a set of global, voluntary regulatory standards on bank capital adequacy, challenged delegates to assess the accounting impact of changes in regulatory rules and how RBC should best position itself for future success.
