Thank you for your interest in the University of Waterloo Accounting Conference. The following is a general description and breakdown of our delegate fee.

Your $200 + payment processing fee covers:

 

Your delegate fee covers a wide range of events ranging from workshops to socials and keynote speakers. The following will describe each event in detail:

Workshops

    • Hosted by diamond sponsor representatives and the conference team
    • Puts you in situations where you have to think on the spot and work with delegates throughout the conference
    • Trains and hones the essential soft-skills required in the workplace

Socials

    • Great way to let loose after the case competition
    • Allows you to meet delegates in a more casual environment
    • Meet the UWAC team

Keynote Speakers

    • High-level executives from large industry firms
    • Provide insightful speeches relating to our theme

As a major aspect to our conference, the case competition is a chance for you to win $1000 in addition to giving you a magnificent opportunity to train your case-writing and presenting skills. Your delegate fee not only covers your participation in the case competition, but it also includes a panel of professional judges that provide feedback to your case presentation.
As a delegate for the University of Waterloo Accounting Conference, you will be staying at the Delta Kitchener-Waterloo Hotel. The following is an excerpt from their website:

Your delegate fee covers a two night stay at the Delta Kitchener-Waterloo Hotel. If additional accommodations need to be made, please contact us.

The conference fee covers nine meals including 2 three course banquet dinners. If you have any dietary restrictions, we strongly recommend that you fill out the Dietary Restriction field when registering for our conference. Please also note any and all food allergies.

Note on OHIP:

As the conference lasts three days, our conference team will try to the best of our ability to ensure the safety and well-being of every delegate. In order to fulfill this commitment, it is highly-recommended that you fill out your OHIP number in order for us to provide health officials with timely documentation in the case of an emergency.
